Busy families can still enjoy a delicious meal when the cook has some tried and true easy chicken crock pot recipes ready to go. These particular types of recipes are not very difficult to put together and some even have only a few ingredients. Preparing easy crock pot recipes will help you get dinner done without having to be in the kitchen any longer than necessary. Many of today’s slow cooker recipes are easy enough that you can just throw the ingredients in the pot and go.

Many of the most popular chicken crock pot recipes include basic ingredients such as rice, noodles, cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup, and tomatoes. You can make a great tasting chicken dinner using a can of cream of chicken soup and a cup of rice and one cup of water along with four boneless chicken breasts or about a pound of chicken tenders. In the morning, put the chicken, water and soup in the slowcooker and set on low. When you come home after work, put in another two cups of water and the rice and let it all cook on high for about an hour. Do not cook longer than this because the chicken can get mushy. Serve with a green salad and bread or green beans. Yum.

Fryer chickens are typically more affordable in the grocery store, so you’re not only saving time and hassle but money with this recipe. This satisfying recipe includes vegetables, providing a complete meal in one pot. Sunday family dinners are also a great time to make this recipe; serve with hot biscuits and you’re going to have some happy campers indeed.

Easy Chicken Crock Pot Dinner

2 to 3 medium carrots, sliced

1/2 cup chopped onion

2 cups fresh or frozen green beans

4 medium potatoes, quartered

broiler-fryer chicken, about 3- 3 1/2 lbs, cut up

1 cup chicken broth

salt and pepper to taste

In crock pot, layer carrots, onion, green beans, potatoes and chicken. In a separate bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; pour over all. Cover and cook chicken and vegetables on low for 6 to 8 hrs.
